Return to Self Private Pathway

When one session is not enough

A personalised 12-session somatic therapy pathway for women who want consistent individual support after grief, relationship change or another major life transition.

You may understand what has happened and still feel its effects in your body, relationships and everyday life.

Perhaps you keep functioning while feeling anxious, disconnected or exhausted underneath. You may recognise the pattern but still find yourself repeating it. You may know that you need boundaries, rest or support and still feel guilty when you try to receive them.

One session can help us explore what is happening now. The Return to Self Private Pathway gives us the time and continuity to understand and work with the patterns that keep happening.

My therapeutic approach

Depending on your needs, our work may bring together:

  • Somatic and nervous-system-informed therapy
  • EFT tapping
  • Parts work informed by Internal Family Systems
  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy
  • Attachment theory
  • Mindfulness and grounding
  • Polyvagal-informed nervous-system education
  • Culturally sensitive support for migration and identity

These approaches are offered as invitations.

You remain in choice throughout the process. You will never be pressured to revisit an experience, close your eyes, participate in a practice or disclose more than feels right.

Session frequency

Sessions are held weekly wherever possible to support continuity, trust and therapeutic momentum.

When weekly attendance is not possible or more integration time would be helpful, sessions may be held fortnightly.

The pathway is designed to be completed within six months.

A regular appointment time will be reserved for you. Reasonable flexibility may be provided for illness, emergencies or other significant circumstances.

This is a consistent therapeutic process rather than a package of appointments to use occasionally.

Investment

Paid Upfront
$2,160
Payment Plan
3 × $740

Total investment on the payment plan: $2,220.

The first payment is required before the pathway begins. Complete payment and cancellation terms will be provided before you enrol.

Prefer to begin with one session?

You are welcome to begin with one 60-minute individual session for $190.

This gives you an opportunity to experience my approach before deciding whether you are ready for the longer pathway.

If you decide to join the Return to Self Private Pathway within seven days, the $190 you have already paid will be credited towards the total investment.

What happens at the end?

The pathway has a clear beginning and end. You will not be pressured to continue therapy indefinitely.

During the final session, we review the work and consider what feels appropriate next.

You may choose to:

  • Finish with your personalised integration plan
  • Book occasional individual sessions when needed
  • Continue with regular individual therapy
  • Begin another clearly defined phase of therapeutic work
  • Explore a group or embodied form of support

The next step will depend on your needs, preferences and circumstances.

Frequently asked questions

Is the pathway only for bereavement?

No. The pathway may support women navigating grief, separation, migration, burnout, identity change, relationship patterns or another major transition. Grief can also involve the loss of a relationship, imagined future, sense of belonging or former version of yourself.

Do I need to know exactly what I want to work on?

No. You may arrive with a clear concern or simply know that something does not feel right. We clarify the focus together during the initial mapping session.

Do I need to attend every week?

Sessions are held weekly wherever possible because consistency supports the therapeutic process. Fortnightly sessions are available when weekly attendance is not possible or when more integration time is appropriate. Sessions should not be spaced more than two weeks apart under ordinary circumstances.

Is this a fixed therapy program?

No. The pathway provides structure, but the therapeutic work is personalised. Your history, needs, culture, capacity and preferences guide the process.

Will twelve sessions resolve everything?

No therapy can guarantee a particular result, and twelve sessions will not resolve every part of your story. The pathway provides enough continuity to focus meaningfully on one or two areas, develop resources and begin practising different responses.

What happens if I need more support?

We will review this together. If your needs fall outside my scope of practice or require additional care, I may recommend support from a GP, psychologist, psychiatrist, specialist service or another appropriate practitioner.

Can I claim a Bupa rebate?

Rebates may be available depending on your policy and level of cover. Please contact Bupa directly before enrolling to confirm your eligibility, the amount you can claim and any annual limits.

Is this suitable if I am in crisis?

No. The Return to Self Private Pathway is not a crisis service and does not provide emergency or continuous support. If you are in immediate danger in Australia, call 000 or attend your nearest hospital emergency department. View Crisis Support
