Individual Therapy

Support that includes your thoughts, emotions, body and lived experience

You may understand why you feel the way you do and still find that your body responds with anxiety, tension, shutdown or overwhelm.

Somatic therapy creates space to explore both your story and the ways your nervous system has learned to protect you.

Therapy may support you if you are experiencing

  • Grief and bereavement
  • Separation, divorce or relationship change
  • Anxiety and emotional overwhelm
  • Difficulty resting or switching off
  • People-pleasing and boundary guilt
  • Attachment and relationship patterns
  • Loss of identity or self-trust
  • Migration, homesickness or cultural adjustment
  • Burnout and long periods of survival mode
  • The effects of trauma or difficult past experiences

What sessions may involve

Our sessions are collaborative and adapted to you. We may talk about what is happening in your life, notice sensations and patterns in your body, explore protective parts, practise EFT tapping or experiment with small ways of creating more support and choice.

You do not have to relive traumatic experiences or provide every detail for therapy to be meaningful. We can approach difficult material gradually, with attention to your capacity and present-day resources.

My therapeutic approach

I integrate:

  • Somatic and nervous-system-informed therapy
  • EFT tapping
  • Parts work informed by Internal Family Systems
  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy
  • Attachment theory
  • Mindfulness and grounding practices
  • Culturally sensitive support for migrants and international communities

The aim is not to eliminate every uncomfortable feeling. It is to help you develop more capacity to be with your experience, respond to yourself with compassion and make choices that reflect what matters to you.
